How old do you have to be to hunt turkeys in Utah?

There are no age restrictions for hunting turkeys in Utah. However, you must pass a DWR approved hunter education course. You can also apply for a blue card that shows you passed an equivalent course in another state.

While people of any age can hunt turkey in Utah, hunters under 13 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Hunters under 16 but over 13 must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years old.

When hunting, hunters under 16 must remain within a visual and audible distance from their adult companions.
